AROUND TOWN, DURING NYFW
Fashion Week took us from uptown at Harlem’s Fashion Row to downtown’s Spring Studio on Varick Street, and from presentations at Canoe Studio in Chelsea to the historic landmark at 583 Park Avenue, to a glam finale with Tom Ford at Lincoln Center. Everywhere we could feel the renewed energy of New York and the excitement of being together again at live events.
We especially liked the exuberant art-influenced prints, the graphic black and white, all kinds of artisanal dye techniques, romantic watercolor florals and the chic neutrals. The ever-increasing inclusiveness on the runways, including men on women’s runways, gender-blending, body positivity, and the casting of non-traditional models, was reflected in the attendees — the diverse range of people and lifestyles that gives New York its unique character. Below, some of our favorite looks on attendees.
