Fashion Group International of Chicago Announces the 10th Annual Rising Star Awards!

Join us for a night of glamour, creativity, and recognition as Fashion Group International (FGI) Chicago proudly presents the 10th Annual Rising Star Awards. Mark your calendars for October 15, 2024, and be part of this prestigious event which will be emceed by Host, Designer, and CEO of Model Atelier, Robin Harris. This event will take place at the iconic Palmer House Hilton during the Official Chicago Fashion Week.

The FGI Rising Stars is the annual competition that acknowledges outstanding new brands and their founders. Our finalists are all Chicago based and represent the best in various fashion disciplines, each demonstrating creativity and innovation that signal bright futures in fashion. The winners, selected by votes from FGI Chicago members, will be announced during the event. Meet our finalists!

Event Highlights:

• Date: October 15, 2024
• Location: Palmer House Hilton, Chicago

Schedule:

• 6:00 PM: Kick off the evening with a cocktail reception with passed hors d’oeuvres. Enjoy live performances by classically trained pianist Dr. Rochella Ostrowski and participate in a raffle offering various designer items and unique experiences.
• 7:00 PM: The award presentations begin, celebrating the best in fashion.
• 8:00 PM – 9:00 PM: Network and socialize with key figures from the fashion industry.

We are so excited to announce, in collaboration with Neiman Marcus, FGI Chicago will honor the illustrious Mark Badgley and James Mischka of Badgley Mischka with the Fashion Icon Award, celebrating their significant contributions to the fashion industry, as well as global impact on style and elegance. This evening promises to be a celebration of innovation, style, and the recognition of emerging talents within Chicago’s vibrant fashion scene.

Honorary Innovation Awards will be presented to:

• Creative Innovation Award: Presented to Delphine Pontvieux, celebrated NYET Jewelry designer, for her outstanding contributions to fashion and design.
• Technology Innovation Award: Awarded to Dana Todd, founder of Balodana, for her pioneering work in fashion technology.
