Fashion Group International (FGI) is in its fourth decade of celebrating artists in fashion. On October 13, celebrities and fashion icons glittered on the red carpet for the 2022 FGI Night of Stars, complete with a cocktail hour, music by The Misshapes, and a high-profile awards ceremony held at Casa Cipriani at Cipriani South Street.
Hosted by designer Frederick Anderson, The event celebrated a range of categories across fashion, entertainment, business, sustainability, retail, beauty, and humanitarianism. Some of the honorees included Michael Kors, Christian Siriano, LoveShackFancy, Sharon Chuter, Firmenich, Prabal Gurung, Dionne Warwick, and Elvis Presley.

“I want to dedicate this award to the children who have given us the opportunity to be part of their lives, part of their journey,” said Prabal Gurung, accepting his humanitarian award presented by politician and friend Huma Abedin. Despite an awkward musical interruption, Gurung finished his remarks gracefully, and the whole kerfuffle only served to remind us of Gurung’s compassion.
The evening’s events hosted at Casa Cipriani celebrated a wide range of stars in addition to Prabal Gurung: Michael Kors (who regretfully was unable to make the event), Christian Siriano, Sharon Chuter of Uoma Beauty, Rebecca Hessell Cohen of LoveShackFancy, Dionne Warwick, and Firmenich. The 20 + tables in the ballroom were filled with a mix of sponsors, honorees (and their possés, including the likes of Iman, Mariska Hargitay, and Coco Rocha), designers, and press.

MEN’S STYLE SHINES BRIGHTLY AT FASHION GROUP INTERNATIONAL’S NIGHT OF STARS
The talk around the virtual water cooler here at MR these days has been about how formalwear has been taking some interesting turns, both with a return to classic black-tie dressing, as well as to more casual expressions, and a (we think) healthy dose of gender-neutral, even feminine aesthetics. These are all observations that we’ve been having in preparation for shooting the formal fashion story we’ve got planned for our upcoming January issue, but all our trend-spotting came to reassuring fruition at last week’s 38th annual Fashion Group International (FGI) Night of Stars annual gala.
CHRISTIAN SIRIANO, DIONNE WARWICK & MORE SHARE WHAT ‘ICONIC’ MEANS TO THEM AT FGI NIGHT OF STARS 2022
Christian Siriano, Dionne Warwick and more stars gathered at Casa Cipriani in New York on Thursday for FGI’s Night of Stars. The annual gala, which raises awareness for the fashion organization, was held under the theme “Artists & Icons” — which prompted many to uncover what being an “icon” truly means across their respective fields.
“I really don’t know. I think it’s not my decision, as if I’m an icon,” Warwick, who was honored with the night’s Trailblazer Award, exclusively shared with FNon the red carpet “It’s a thoughtful decision — and if it’s what they’re going to make me, that’s what I am.”
VA VA VOOM! MARISKA HARGITAY FLASHES BLUE BRA UNDER MATCHING SUIT WHILE IMAN SHINES IN SILVER AND COCO ROCHA FLASHES LEG FOR FASHION PARTY AT CASA CIPRIANI
Coco Rocha, Iman and Mariska Hargitay and joined a cavalcade of celebrities who flocked to the New York private members club Casa Cipriani this Thursday.
A dazzling array of famous names all got together that evening for the Fashion Group International’s Night Of Stars awards gala, where Michael Kors was getting the top-flight Superstar prize.
For her latest outing Mariska, 58, flaunted her cleavage in a skimpy electric blue bra-lette that also allowed her to hint at her enviably trim midriff.

FGI ‘NIGHT OF STARS’ TO HONOR ESTABLISHED DESIGNERS AND OTHER TALENTS
OUT AND ABOUT (HOPEFULLY): Just getting outdoors can be a celebration of sorts, but the Fashion Group International has grander plans for the return of its “Night of Stars” event this fall. News that the gala is scheduled to be held in-person was considered a win in itself when revealed in May. Now organizers are detailing their all-out …
DIONNE WARWICK SOUNDS OFF ON 2022’S TOP FASHION AND BEAUTY TRENDS
Suffice to say, Dionne Warwick would prefer to “Walk On By” some of this year’s hottest looks.
The music legend, 81, was honored with the Trailblazer Award at Thursday night’s Fashion Group International (FGI) Night of Stars gala, where industry luminaries including Michael Kors, Christian Siriano and Prabal Gurung also received awards.
Warwick, of course, knows a thing or two about fashion herself, having forged close friendships with designers like Yves Saint Laurent, Pierre Cardin, Oscar de la Renta and Valentino over the course of her storied career.
